Bloody Moon is a wild, entertaining, and vibrant dance performance filled with humor and sensuality. Inspired by the famous work of the French thinker Georges Bataille on desire, eroticism, liberation, and madness, and marks the first world premiere for Danish Dance Theatre’s new artistic director, Marina Mascarell. On stage, the dancers embody, among other things, the fertility god Dionysus’s principles of pleasure, excess, chaos, transgression, play, festivity, and ecstasy—with a twist of madness.
Marina Mascarell is the Artistic Director of Dansk Danseteater, the National Dance Company of Denmark. She is an internationally acclaimed choreographer recognized for her thought-provoking and interdisciplinary work. Previously, Marina was Resident Choreographer at Korzo Theatre in The Hague (2011–2021) and an Associated Artist at Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona until 2022. Before transitioning into choreography, she was a dancer with Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York City.
Danish Dance Theatre is Denmark's national contemporary dance company, based at the Copenhagen Opera House. Since April 2023, the Valencian choreographer has been the company's artistic director. Danish Dance Theatre is renowned for its dynamic and varied repertoire, ranging from large-scale productions at the Royal Danish Theatre, outdoor festivals and events, to challenging and inspiring family shows.

Promoter: Victoria Eugenia Antzokia S.A
Sergi Casero’s No pares (sigue, sigue) is a participatory performance that uses humor to investigate the violence hidden behind the imperative of effort, improvement, and perpetual self-realization characteristic of turbocapitalism. The project unmasks the forms of violence and domination that lie behind the euphoria and optimism of success and self-improvement narratives, revealing the guilt, self-punishment, and dissatisfaction that accompany them.
Somewhere between a spinning class and a performative lecture, the piece presents itself as a modern Sisyphus trapped in incessant pedaling. A performance that repeats in a loop, attempting to surpass itself with each turn to reach the next level, recognition, and success, always out of reach. With an enthusiastic tone and merengue house music in the background, the audience is progressively seduced into becoming part of this self-exploiting delirium.
Beyond revealing the incompatibility of neoliberal temporalities and narratives with our bodies, the performance proposes strategies that allow us to collectively break with the inertia of productivity and its mechanisms of seduction.

NOTE: The Spanish version will be performed on 16 March.
52 Hertz by Ados Teatroa is a tragicomedy in the form of "overlapping lives", addressing the issue of social isolation. The solitude of the migrant, the old man in his care homes, the professional in his bubble, or the young woman who cannot bear the pain of living: a multifaceted vision of a pandemic which affects 1 in every 5 people.
The title refers to the frequency of a strange sound recorded over the last 35 years at different locations in the Pacific, similar to the song of a blue whale. But blue whales communicate on frequencies ranging from 10 to 39 hertz, and so the voice of this strange "solitary whale", resonating at 52 Hz, lies outside the hearing range of the species. The "52 hertz whale" is believed perhaps to have been born deaf, and so never learned to utter its song at the right frequency. No other whale has ever been able to hear its call.

Ane Gabarain dresses up as Millán Astray in this work by Antonio Álamo, premièred by the Luna Hiena company.
Millán Astray, founder of the Spanish Legion, tells us his story, the tale of the Glory of Spain. On 12 October 1936, Day of the Spanish Race, that bloody Unamuno dared to wind him up. "You may win, but you will never convince," the shabby old fool said… What can you do but split your sides laughing at such stupidity?
Cantando bajo las balas is a necrophiliac cabaret, a grotesque dark comedy, a monologue in which Millán Astray, in his delirious glorification of violence and terrifying requiems that applaud the death of intelligence, speaks to the audience in the present, his discourse horribly familiar to today's theatregoers.
This work is the hall of mirrors of the Callejón del Gato in Madrid, in which contemporary society can recognise the course being mapped out for us by the upsurge of unreason, the discourse of hate and the megalomania of jingoists.
Director: Asier Andueza. Cast: Ane Gabarain, Marc Servera. Assistant director: Paul Alcaide. Music, soundscape: Marc Servera. Lighting design: David Bernués. Staging: José Luis Raymond. Costumes: Edurne Ibáñez. Movement director: Arturo Vargas. Production, distribution: Biktor Andueza. A production by: Luna Hiena Interacciones Culturales S.L.

The work Desobedientes 18/98 by Tanttaka Teatro tells the story of case 18/98 trial to the university, and from the university to the world, transporting us to the foundations of civil disobedience, exploring how it functions and explaining its necessity and relevance in today's society.
Ainhoa, who recently earned her doctorate in Political Science, defends her doctoral thesis before an academic tribunal, a thesis that addresses civil disobedience as a valid and necessary form of struggle in our democracies, while using examples laden with meaning to recount the decisive imprint of civil disobedience on history and in claiming civil rights for humanity.
In parallel, the work thrusts us into the heart of the controversial mass court case based on proceedings opened by Judge Garzón, summary proceedings 18/98, in which we see the trial of various individuals who upheld civil rights through a foundation linked to social movements.

La Jácara de los cuerpos imposibles is an erotic cabaret in verse, dance and virtual poetry, directed by Alberto Velasco.
La Jácara de los cuerpos imposibles speaks of the performative nature of gender in Spain's Golden Age, a bridge between past and future, linking emotions and bodies that might once have been described as impossible, non-existent, mythological beasts, but which nonetheless today stand before us. Breathing. Dancing. Feeling free. A show which glorifies diversity in verse and gives the shadows of our norms a chance to shine. “The story and feathers need not always be theirs” (Lope de Vega)
The jácara was one of the satirical formats performed in the intermission of plays in the Spanish Golden Age, and enjoyed great popularity. The characters were typically criminals, knaves, rogues, dandies or underworld figures. The jácara did not begin as a form of drama itself, but rather poetry set to music and sometimes dance, which everyone would know and was very much rooted in popular tradition. Before the dance began, the audience would shout out 'Jácara!', calling for the theatrical festivities to continue.
Original idea, art direction, choreography: Alberto Velasco. Dramaturgy: Ruth Rubio. Performance: Alberto Velasco, Lucia Arestegui, Joan Galo. Verse tutor: Nieves Soria. Assistant director: Carla R. Cabané. Music: Fernando Nequecaur. Lighting: Bela Nagy. Costumes: Sara Sánchez De La Morena. Project manager: Elena Martínez. Design: Laura Velasco.

Historia del amor by Agrupación Señor Serrano is a show with just one actress on stage, live video and numerous objects, addressing the impossible task of trying to understand why we love and why we love the way we love.
Along with a sideways glance at the myth of Eldorado: that promise of a city filled with gold, hidden in the middle of the jungle, the search for which caused so much pain, and that no one ever managed to reach.
When did love arise for the first time? Why is the pursuit of love a constant in our lives? How does the past shape the way we love today?

Sáhara. La barca del desierto (Sahara. The Desert Boat), by the company Unahoramenos Producciones, tells the story of a Canarian nurse who arrives in Laayoune in 1970, intending to take up a temporary job at the local hospital. However, her life undergoes a radical change when she falls in love Yahadih, a young Sahrawi who joins the Polisario Front to fight for the independence of Western Sahara.
This work has been developed following research undertaken at the Sahrawi refugee camps in January 2025. The main aim was to gather eyewitness accounts, learn first-hand about the reality of the exiled Sahrawi people, and to discover the historical, social and cultural elements which served as the foundations in creating this show.
With a blend of love, betrayal and resistance, Sáhara. La barca del desierto bears human witness to the personal transformation of a woman trapped between two worlds, and the struggle of a free people who refuse to disappear.

Teatro Victoria Eugenia Antzokia

Noces, by the company Led Silhouette, is a contemporary rereading of Stravinsky's Les Noces. It begins where the original work ended: in the nuptial bedroom.
The piece explores the transition from house to home, among intimate and ritual aspects, and what remains hidden. A journey between the ancestral and the present, which questions love, cohabitation and belonging: what does it mean today to inhabit a bond?
Led Silhouette, together with the Pamplona Chamber Choir, revisit the nuptial rite as the trigger for questions about love, cohabitation, intimacy and identity. Through body, music and image, there emerge recollections, symbols and rituals that sustain or destabilise the way we live.
The Pamplona Chamber Choir was founded by Luis Morondo in 1946. Its repertoire includes music from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, avant-garde music, its own heritage and contemporary music. Among other awards, the choir received the 2018 Prince of Viana Culture Award.
Programme:
Svadebka/Les Noces (1917) – Igor Stravinsky (1882 – 1971)
Incidental music for Blood Wedding – Federico García Lorca (1898 – 1936)

Eva Guerrero's Hasta el último baile is a dance performance with live music that speaks of the passage of time, the transformation of the body, absence, and memory. It is a fictional autobiography. How are memories stored in the body? What shapes me through the people who are no longer here? How does my body change over time? What is there of you in me?
With dance and music as the main protagonists, we tell a disordered story where everything intertwines—built from memories, the voices of others, songs and melodies from the past, a touch of autobiography and a dose of fiction—to reflect on ageing, the body, the traces left on it that slowly transform it, and the power of dance to unite different generations. Hasta el último baile is both a reunion and a farewell; many bodies within one body, the voices of others transforming our present—it is the memory of those who brought us here.

Sísifos is a contemporary circus show by the UpArte company, in which fourteen outstanding acrobats explore the futility of human effort.
This work by UpArte is the Murcia-based company's most ambitious yet. Inspired by the myth of Sisyphus and Albert Camus's reinterpretation of it. The work reflects the inevitable clash with the walls that we come up against, both physical and symbolic. A metaphor of the meaning – or meaninglessness – of existence, the visual poetry of contemporary circus combined with complex and daring technique as its core forms of expression.
UpArte is a contemporary circus company founded in 2012 in Murcia, Spain. They have since the outset stood out for creating shows that combine high-level acrobatic skills with a contemporary and aesthetic focus. Over the course of their history they have successfully established themselves as one of the most intriguing up-and-coming companies on the contemporary circus scene in Spain. Their works showcase the precision and complexity of their numbers, always characterised by a minimalist approach, shorn of costume elements or elaborate stage sets.
