El protagonista de la obra Solitudes que presentaKulunka se siente incomprendido porque, como casi todos los ancianos para los que su vida es prácticamente una espera, ya solo desea cosas sencillas. Cosas tan simples que los demás no llegan a valorar su verdadera importancia. Lo extraordinario de esta historia es que el anciano –contra lo que podría esperarse de alguien con una vida sin alicientes– no se resigna, no renuncia a sus pequeños deseos, y pelea por ellos con determinación y dignidad. Esto, claro, tendrá sus consecuencias para él mismo y para quienes le rodean.
