Donosti 1987, un asunto de txapelas es un viaje al pasado desde el humor. Un retrato muy diferente al de hoy en día. Aunque las diferencias que se vislumbran en el envoltorio de la ciudad, no lo son tantas al mirar en su interior. Muchos de los comportamientos de la gente de aquella época se repiten y el ambiente que reina, por momentos, es muy similar. Más aún si se tiene en cuenta algo que no cambia y que es uno de los ejes de la historia: la Real Sociedad. Los txuriurdin están apunto de jugar la final de Copa contra el Atlético de Madrid y en ese contexto, Aitor Tilla acude a pedir trabajo a las oficinas de Txapelas Txetxintxa, empresa dirigida por su antiguo compañero de pupitre Txetxu Txintxarreta, y debe pasar un curioso proceso de selección donde los espectadores descubrirán que nada es lo que parece.
