El argumento está basado en un hecho real. Charlie Price es el hijo de un zapatero artesano, dueño de una fábrica que da trabajo a varias familias de un pueblo inglés.
Simon (Lola) también ha crecido en una familia con un padre bastante rígido que nunca entendió su afición por el baile, ni su atracción por los zapatos de tacón alto rojo de su madre.
Tras la repentina muerte de su padre, Charlie tiene que hacerse cargo del negocio familiar que va camino a la bancarrota. Con unos empleados escépticos respecto a su capacidad como jefe, Charlie se marcha a Londres en busca de soluciones.
Tras un encuentro casual descubre a Lola, una artista de variedades cuyo mundo gira entorno a una moda muy peculiar en la que resaltan las botas altas de plataforma. Charlie descubre que esas botas no soportan el peso de un hombre, de ahí que siempre se le rompan los tacones. Ahora Charlie tiene un filón por explotar en el mercado del calzado.
Un espectáculo que te hará reír a carcajadas, emocionarte, bailar, y reflexionar. ¡Un subidón de adrenalina!
