Eva María, a las tantas de la madrugada, ha recibido un tajante mensaje de Alejandro, su único y adorado hijo: debe entrar en su habitación y buscar en un cajón cerrado con un candado un documento que necesita con urgencia para la universidad americana en la que estudia. Urgente es "ya, ahora, sin perder un instante, mamá". Alejandro, que conoce muy bien a su progenitora, le advierte de que no caiga en la humana (y especialmente maternal) tentación de hurgar en sus cosas aprovechando la estupenda ocasión. Eva María promete a su hijo cumplir a rajatabla su cometido, pero una vez inmersa en el encargo... ¿Quién está libre de pecado? Y es que ella, que es muy cinéfila, es consciente de que “la tentación vive arriba” o al fondo del cajón secreto de su hijo.
