Iva trabaja en una fábrica de ropa en la Bulgaria rural, enfrentándose a una enfermedad persistente y misteriosa. Cuando se revela que es el primer caso de Covid en su pequeño pueblo, las noticias se convierten en un interminable j'accuse: primero por parte de los dueños de la fábrica, deseosos de desviar la responsabilidad, después por sus compañeros de trabajo, su hijo y, finalmente, por toda la comunidad, a pesar de que hace años que no ha salido del pueblo. Con su creciente demonización pública a medida que aparecen las primeras víctimas del virus, se convierte rápidamente en una paria social.
