La entrada de su álbum Boy From Michigan (2021) en las listas de éxitos británicas (se posicionó entre los diez primeros puestos), seguido de algunas de las mejores críticas de toda su carrera para The Art Of The Lie (2024), confirman que la carrera de John Grant sigue viento en popa.
De hecho, los últimos quince años han sido una auténtica época dorada para Grant, desde que el joven artista de Míchigan lanzó tardíamente su primer álbum en solitario, Queen Of Denmark, tras un largo periodo alejado de la industria musical. Queen Of Denmark fue elegido mejor álbum de 2010 por la revista MOJO, y desde entonces la popularidad de Grant se ha disparado gracias a una serie de discos de largaduración, aclamados por la crítica, que fusionan el pop de cámara melódico con toques de oscura pero brillante música dance, centrados en el synth-pop y la música disco.
