Vulcano es la historia de una familia que intenta salvarse de un trauma pasado, el incendio que sucedió en el edificio en el que vivía y que tuvo consecuencias trágicas. La llegada de una reportera y un cámara, y el intento de reconstruir lo que sucedió, hace que el relato conocido adquiera dimensiones inesperadas, alterando el concepto de verdad y poniendo en duda una supuesta versión original de los hechos.
¿Cómo se narra un trauma?, ¿Qué sucede cuando una confesión íntima se convierte en representación, en reclamo?, ¿Tienen más valor nuestras experiencias cuando forman parte de un relato, cuando alguien nos mira?, ¿Dónde está la frontera entre el interés genuino por el dolor ajeno y el morbo?, ¿Qué pasa cuando no está clara la frontera entre víctimas y culpables?
