Atractivo programa el que presenta la EGO (Joven Orquesta de Euskal Herria) en su tradicional concierto de Navidad. Abrirá el concierto la Guía de orquesta para jóvenes creada por el compositor británico Benjamin Britten. Basada en un tema del compositor Henry Purcell, es una de las obras didácticas más interesantes, ya que es una maravillosa forma de dar a conocer las diversas secciones que componen una orquesta sinfónica. En esta ocasión, el actor Kepa Errasti pondrá voz y explicará e ilustrará en euskera las características de los distintos instrumentos que conforman una orquesta sinfónica.
Y tras esta obra, la EGO interpretará la 7ª sinfonía del gran compositor Ludwig van Beethoven. Estamos ante “una de mis mejores obras", en palabras del propio compositor. La séptima sinfonía fascina tanto por su riguroso clasicismo como por su energía. Incluso el mismísimo Richard Wagner la calificó como “apoteosis de la danza”, por el predominio de la estructura rítmica.
