Eduardo Galán nos ofrece en La Profesora un retrato de la realidad actual poniendo en relieve grandes problemas de la vida contemporánea que a todos de una manera u otra nos resultan familiares: una adolescencia conflictiva, el miedo a la soledad, el impacto de los prejuicios, la importancia del acceso a la educación, las rupturas de pareja… estas cuestiones son tratadas en clave de humor llevando al espectador a la reflexión desde una posición desenfadada. Protagonizada por Isabel Ordaz en el papel de la profesora América Alcalá y Marcial Álvarez en el personaje de Ortiz, la obra es un comedia dramática, en el que LA TERNURA impregna toda acción.
Sinopsis: Ortiz, un pescadero de unos cincuenta años que trabaja en un supermercado, acude a una tutoría para solucionar la situación de su hija Daniela. El primer encuentro con la tutora, América Alcalá, una mujer de casi sesenta y cinco años que no quiere jubilarse por miedo a la soledad, resulta un verdadero combate de boxeo. A lo largo de siete reuniones hasta el final del curso asistimos, en clave de dramedia, al encuentro y acercamiento entre dos personajes tan distantes por cultura y por edad, en medio de los conflictos que plantea la hija. Y todo ello en 90 minutos.
