Con el amor como tema principal de la historia, la acción transcurre durante la vigilia, noche y mañana del día de San Juan y se sitúa en Isil, una pequeña población de los Pirineos. Con la música de Roberto Gerhard, repleta de citas de canciones populares, muchas de ellas todavía presentes en los ámbitos rurales de Cataluña, y los decorados y figurines de Joan Junyer, conservados del primer proyecto inédito e inspirados en las fiestas y el paisaje pirenaicos y en el arte románico de la región, Ruz ha construido, según sus palabras, una pieza de danza actual bañada de teatralidad y dinamismo y acompañada de una puesta en escena efectiva y sin artificios.
