El grupo vizcaino Zea Mays recibirá el Adarra Saria de 2023, convirtiéndose así en el décimo grupo o solista musical premiado por el Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián y Donostia Kultura.
El Comité Asesor formado por el periodista Juan González Andrés, Ia música Sara Zozaya y la técnica del departamento de Música de Donostia Kultura Esther Fernandino, ha destacado que Zea Mays ha mantenido unos altísimos niveles de calidad y éxito a lo largo de sus 26 años de carrera musical.
Su entrega y su intensidad han sido, en todo momento, reconocidos por el público y por sus compañeras y compañeros músicos. Es de destacar, precisamente, el gran número de colaboraciones, discográficas y en directo, que Zea Mays ha entablado y mantenido con artistas de Euskal Herria e internacionales. Un total de 11 discos ilustran la trayectoria de un grupo que debe contarse entre los más influyentes del rock vasco y entre los más reconocidos y apreciados fuera de Euskal Herria.
Zea Mays recibirá el premio el día 21 de junio, a las 19:30, de manos del alcalde o de la alcaldesa de Donostia/San Sebastián en el Teatro Victoria Eugenia y, seguidamente, actuará en el Teatro Victoria Eugenia, acompañado de numerosos artistas.
