Goizaldi Euskal Dantzari Taldea se fundó en Donostia el 2 de febrero de 1948. El creador y maestro de los primeros años fue Cándido Pujana, con el objetivo de enseñar las danzas tradicionales vascas de Goierri (Gipuzkoa). Pujana aprendió esos bailes de su padre José Lorenzo Pujana. Éste los recibió de José Antonio Olano, y Olano del gran maestro Juan Ignacio Iztueta.
Así, a lo largo de estos 75 años, Goizaldi ha sido el referente de las danzas guipuzcoanas, con el objetivo de mantener las danzas en su tradición. A pesar de ello, ha sido un grupo de baile que ha sabido adaptarse a los cambios de la sociedad, y desde 2016, tanto mujeres como hombres tienen el privilegio de aprender y dar a conocer estas danzas. Los participantes y socios de Goizaldi están celebrando el aniversario con un amplio programa para mostrar la importancia y presencia de los bailes tradicionales tanto en Donostia como en toda Euskal Herria, y por ello se ha organizado esta actuación especial del 1 de mayo en el Vicotira Eugenia. Junto a Goizaldi actuarán diferentes grupos de Euskal Herria que han trabajado por las danzas tradicionales en sus respectivas provincias: Gaztedi de Bizkaia (Santutxu), Adurtza de Araba (Gasteiz), Otsagabiako dantzariak de Nafarroa (Otsagabia), y Begiraleak de Lapurdi (Donibane Lohizune).
Por lo tanto, los asistentes tendrán la oportunidad de disfrutar la colección de danzas tradicionales de Euskal Herria.
